Dr. Ashley Maxey
Veterinarian

Dr. Maxey has been working with animals ever since her very first job as a veterinary assistant at 14 years old. She has a lifelong passion for animal science, and it shows through in every patient interaction. Dr. Maxey graduated from Ross University in 2014, after which she spent a year doing further clinical studies at Purdue. She loves diagnostics and especially loves being able to solve problems and provide pet parents with answers. She also works in an emergency clinic a few weekends a month and enjoys the fast pace and variety of patients she gets to work with. In her free time, Dr. Maxey enjoys horseback riding, baking, traveling, and hanging out with her husband and her young daughters.

Joined the Heritage family: July 2013
Kaysie joined Heritage Animal Hospital in July of 2013. She worked diligently as a technician for many years. Now as Practice Manager, Kaysie strives to continue to build a solid, compassionate team. She brings 17 years of veterinary field knowledge with her to work every day! She is the mother of a lovely little girl. Together, they share their time at home with a goofy dog and two crazy cats. Outside of work, Kaysie enjoys engulfing herself in true crime stories. To lighten things up, she takes pleasure in cooking and finding new tasty recipes to try out.
Emerald
Pets: Dogs – Nike and Slinky (Dachshunds) and Midnight (Betta Fish)

Emerald began her veterinary medicine career early, earning her Certified Veterinary Assistant credential before graduating from high school. Emerald’s favorite thing about working at Heritage is the hands-on experience of working with so many beautiful fur-babies. She especially enjoys assisting the doctors during exams. In her free time, she enjoys live music of all kinds and is a nut for anything Disney! She is also a bit of a daredevil; she went sky-diving for her 18th birthday!!
Paris
Pets: Kain a.k.a. Kainiac (Mix), Ace and Pluto (Pit Bulls)
Paris has been with us since August of 2020. Paris has always known she’s wanted to work with animals since a very young age. Her favorite part of working at Heritage Animal Hospital is that there will never be a day when a fur baby doesn’t get lovins and treats from her. Paris has a passion for learning new things and lending a helping hand. She is always looking forward to working with new pets. Outside of work she enjoys painting, karaoke, and adventures.

Customer Service Representative
Pets: Nezuko, 3 yr old Yorkiepoo
Destiny has been a reliable member of our CSR team. She has expanded her skillset to also provide an extra pair of hands to help our assistants and technicians when needed. She enjoys her daily interactions with all our patients. In her time outside of work, she has an interest in outdoor activities, reading and anime. She’s also currently enrolled in college courses for Accounting.
